Make mental health an integral part of the school curriculum
Globally someone dies by suicide every 40 seconds and it is the second leading cause of death in 15-29yr olds. Kids don’t get taught how to handle feelings, emotions, how to cope with life, loss, adversity and neither did their parents so something needs to change now
This needs to change
The mental health system is broken and failing. Trust me I’ve been in it for long enough and now work in it! It has been cut to shreds and isn’t fit for purpose. Therefore I am petitioning for non-clinical mental wellbeing to become an integral part of the school curriculum so that this unnecessary suicide epidemic stops.
This pandemic has only exasperated the situation and God knows where we’ll be after.
Please I beg you be the change you want to see in this world. End suicide now.
