Make law a mandatory 5 year prison term for possession of a knife in public.
Pass into law a mandatory five year prison sentence for possession of a bladed implement without good cause in public.
If the government has the slightest of concern about the rising rate of knife crime in the UK then passing a mandatory sentence for possession of a bladed object in public of five years is a must to protect the law abiding citizens of the country. Any MP that votes against such a bill obviously does not care about crime in the UK.
