Fix the backlog of driving tests, it is a massive problem for young people
The government needs to fix the 2 year back log of driving tests. Many young people preparing to get on with their lives and futures need to be able to drive and can’t even get driving tests. This is a big problem and given the price of public transport will limit people who want and need to drive.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you are concerned about the backlog of driving tests, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
In March the Chief Executive of the DVSA set out a recovery plan, including a recruitment campaign for driving examiners: www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-letter-from-dvsa-chief-executive-to-driver-and-rider-trainers-about-restart-and-recovery-of-services/letter-from-dvsa-chief-executive-to-approved-driving-instructors-about-restart-and-recovery-of-services
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
