Petition Action

Crossdressers should have legal rights

Additional Information

Crossdressers should be given the same rights as those individuals who are transitioning.
It follows that the police would not be able to bring charges such as insulting behaviour or breach of the peace against anyone for merely wearing clothes more commonly worn by the opposite sex.
Dress codes may apply but would not be sex specific - a woman could wear a shirt, trousers and socks whereas a man could wear a blouse, skirt and tights.
Abuse of crossdressers for simply appearing different from others would be treated harshly by the courts.
