Introduce a European au pair programme to stop families suffering
The government needs to expediently introduce a low cost visa or other travel route for European youths wanting to be au pairs in the UK. To prevent families suffering further child care issues and allow the continued cultural exchange that has been enjoyed.
Since exiting the EU, au pairs from Europe can no longer freely come to the UK to learn, exchange culture and support UK families in the process.
This issue has been raised through MP Kit Malthouse under Case Ref: KM16045 but the answer was simply that they UK government would not even look at the issue and directed looking at other countries much further a field instead.
This failing is negatively impacting the lives of UK familes who enjoyed the exchange and growth it gave their children.
