Matt Hancock: Don't share our data with private companies unless we opt in.
Matt Hancock is offering our personal data to private companies - including mental & sexual health records. Unless we opt out before 23rd June 2021. The government attempted this in in 2014 and failed due to a public outcry and we expect the same response if people are informed.
We want full transparency into how our data is used and regular consultations if any changes are made.
Patients should be given the option to only opt into a scheme like this, rather than be forced to opt out of something that isn't reported in the news. How can people consent to something they are unaware of? Actions like this attempted under stealth continue to undermine the people's trust in our government.
