Petition Action

Start the process for the statutory inquiry into Covid-19 now.

Petition Details

The process to start the statutory inquiry into the Covid-19 Pandemic cannot wait till Spring 2022.

The Government should urgently work with bereaved families and others affected by the pandemic to select a chair and determine the Terms Of Reference (TOR) for the inquiry.

Additional Information

The price of failing to learn lessons through an inquiry starting as soon as possible means that more families risk losing a loved one due to Covid-19.

Every day the process to start the inquiry stalls is another day where the risk of the loss of crucial evidence is increased, where bereaved families struggle without the answers to what happened to their loved ones and increases the risk of a further wave of the virus.

There is no time to waste to learn lessons and save lives.
