Do not list place of birth on UK passports
Having one's place of birth in an identity document can be a source of discrimination. Place of birth is a so called identity marker that can literally mark a person for life. Remove any reference to our place of birth from UK passports.
Canada has a passport system where inclusion of your birth place is optional. Let’s go a bit further in the UK.
Let all Brits be equal.
Place of birth is private information about your life that should not be required in your ID. Article 8 of the UN Human Rights Act guarantees the Right to Private Life.
