For future live media events where there is a medical emergency, filming ceases

Petition Details

A medical emergency is incredibly emotional and traumatic for all those involved, whether that be family, friends or those surrounding the circumstance. The filming of this for the world to see is a complete lack of respect and in future, a medical emergency should trigger a ceasing of filming

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions must call for a specific action that the UK Government or House of Commons is responsible for.

Decisions about broadcasting standards are a matter for Ofcom and the broadcasters, not the Government or House of Commons. As a result it is not possible for the Government or House of Commons to take the action you have requested.
