Make First aid mandatory in all schools (add to schools curriculum)
Make first aid mandatory in ALL schools at all ages as part of the curriculum. Kids need to know first aid. It is as important as maths or English.
If a family member were to fall ill/collapse then a child could start the basics, recovery position, dial 999, follow instructions.
Saving lives!
At least discuss the possibility and not totally dismiss it.
This is a very important life skill, hopefully many will not need to use but it is there if needed.
Teaching at a young age and following through school years it the best way forwards in helping save lives.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The Government's new Relationships Education, Relationships and
Sex Education (RSE) and Health Education curriculum requires that all students be taught first aid in primary and secondary schools.
You can read the full Relationships Education, Relationships and
Sex Education (RSE) and Health Education curriculum here: assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/908013/Relationships_Education__Relationships_and_Sex_Education__RSE__and_Health_Education.pdf
The current curriculum does not require students to be taught in the use of defibrillators, and we have published the following petitions, which you might like to sign:
