Tackle knife crime in Cardiff
We need tougher sentences with more prosecutions for people found in possession of a knife...we need anti knife crime education in schools...we need more awareness surrounding the danger of knives.
Knife crime is growing at an alarming rate in Cardiff where children as young as 16 years old are either being killed, seriously injured or killing/injuring someone else, knife crime is an epidemic in itself and needs serious action to be taken. Schools are being closed under code red due to the severity of the knife crime in the areas, children are living in fear for their lives...adults living in fear for their children’s lives...how many more have to die or be affected before something is done?
We are trying to rebuild the communities with events, youth work, and raising awareness through volunteers, supporters and the communities but we need support with the policing and sentencing.
