Allow a reduced maternity leave for babies born before 24 weeks
Parents who give birth to a baby after 12 weeks but before 24 weeks are classed as "late miscarriage" even though a woman still has to give birth, and in many cases depending on the gestation, arrange a funeral, the law currently only allows 5 days paid bereavement at an employers discretion
Many cannot take the financial burden of unpaid leave or sick leave, there should be a set period of paid miscarriage leave between 12 and 24 weeks gestation, where a woman can not only start to mentally heal but also physically recover after a traumatic birth and in some cases, surgery
