Following the cardiac arrest of footballer Cristian Eriksen in the UEFA European Championships, it highlights the importance of a using a defibrillator to maximise a person’s chance of survival following a cardiac arrest. As a minimum, these should be a legal requirement in all leisure facilities
“For every minute it takes for the defibrillator to reach someone and deliver a shock, their chances of survival reduce by up to 10%.” - British Heart Foundation
