Review the harsh Immigration Rule for dependant parents of British Nationals.
The impact of this rule is an almost permanent separation of elderly relatives from their children or forcing the children to leave the UK to care for their parents.
The Immigration Rules on parents, grandparents and other dependent relatives are fundamentally flawed, making it virtually impossible for them to be admitted to the UK to join a carer. The main stumbling blocks are the rules themselves which impose an impossible criteria along with a non refundable and exorbitant fee of £3,250.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
We understand you want to see a change in the criteria that must be met for adult dependent relatives to join people resident in the UK, but we're not sure exactly how you want the rules to change. You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
You might like to sign the following petition, which calls for a related action:
Relax rules on non-EU adult family members joining permanent UK residents
