Allow all veterans who served in 1977 to purchase & wear a Silver Jubilee Medal
The award of the Queen's Silver Jubilee Medal was a very small lottery and most of us who served at the time did not receive it. This petition is to request permission, for those who wish, to be allowed to purchase and wear their own Queen's Silver Jubilee Medal. Or better, for them to be issued.
The Queen's Silver Jubilee Medal award was very poorly conducted and only a 'chosen few' received them. The subsequent Jubilee Medal awards were far more fairly conducted and it is requested that the Silver Jubilee Medal be awarded to those, still alive or posthumously, who served during the time of the Queens Silver Jubilee.
It could either be awarded in the normal way or permission be granted, giving those qualified, the opportunity to buy and wear their own.
You can't sign this petition because it is now closed. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
