Exempt tips for staff in the hospitality industry from tax

Petition Details

Due to the uncertain and gift-like nature of Tips given by customers I feel there shouldn't be any tax on these. Therefore I am hoping to open a discussion on the exemption of taxing tips given in the hospitality industry.

Additional Information

I feel this would provide an extremely welcome boost to an industry currently on its knees and would show workers that concern is there especially considering this will apply to an extremely high number of staff on minimum wage etc.
