Allow distance learner (OU ect) to have maintenance loans!
Maintenance loans should be available to all that study, so be it in an university or at home! Not just if you are disabled. People choose to study at home for multiple reasons such as childcare not allowing university study!
Open up maintenance loans to all. Completing a full time degree at home doesn’t mean you have the time to work. You are still expected to study 40 hours a week, people choose to learn from home because of childcare commitments, trying to raise a family while better themselves. They to should be allowed maintenance loans to mean they can become better for the community and their family, it has to be repaid anyway…
Encourage more people to take on learning!
