Inquiry into Banks & Insurance Companies Using Covid-19 to Wrongly Drop Claims
Chancellor of the Exchequer to order independent public inquiry into banks/insurance companies dropping, mishandling, undermining genuine claims & pressuring victims to settle cheaply due to Covid-19 pandemic. FOS has huge backlog of complaints which will take years. A new law is urgently required.
The scope of the investigation should include, but not limited to:
Obtain all documents from banks, insurance companies, solicitors & FOS
Determine the truth & injustice
How many claims also involving a 3rd party were dropped/ran out of time
Some of the losses are life-changing & impact families. If a criminal element is detected, it should be reported to the proper authorities & lead to prosecution

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. We're not sure what they 'new law urgently required' would do.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
