Put pressure on President Bolsonaro of Brazil to protect the Amazon rainforest.
We (7X1 at Stratford upon Avon School) want you to use your influence to persuade President Bolsonaro to protect the Amazon rainforest.
The Amazon provides 20% of Earth's oxygen. 2000 football pitches of Amazon rainforest are cut down every day. This is unsustainable. We need action now.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We understand you're concerned about protecting the Amazon rainforest, however it's not clear what specific actions you would like the UK Government to pressure the Brazilian Government into taking.
You could have a petition calling for the UK Government to impose sanctions on the Brazilian Government in response to deforestation in the Amazon, if that is something you'd like to see happen.
