Petition Action

Reinstate the dog dog licence to run along side the current microchip law

Petition Details

DOTS LAW - Proven in countries around the world to help control back street breeding, dog theft & reduce cases of abuse & neglect. We believe it will also benefit animal charities & council shelters. Every dog will require a licence, working & assistance dogs will be exempt of a fee.

Additional Information

Breeder details to be given for first licence. Discounts may be offered for neutered dogs & owners who have passed training schemes. Multiple dog households will require a licence for each dog. Dogs in rescue need to be registered but only need a licence once in a home. Licences expire annually & will need to be renewed. When a dog reaches end of life the licence office are to be notified. Alongside microchipping it should provide traceability, accountability & protect a dog for life.
