All taxi companies must have 10% of their fleet as wheelchair friendly taxis
We want the Government to ensure that all taxi companies must have 10% of their fleet as wheelchair friendly taxis to be available to all wheelchair types.
To pass a statute to ensure UK taxi companies can provide manual and electric wheelchair users with transportation.
Wheelchair users are often left stranded due to the lack of accessible wheelchair taxis.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions must call for a specific action that the UK Government or House of Commons is responsible for.
Decisions about managing taxi fleets are a matter for indiviudal taxi companies, not the Government or House of Commons. As a result it is not possible for the Government or House of Commons to take the action you have requested.
We could accept a petition calling on the Government to require all taxis be wheelchair accessible, or provide funding to increase uptake of wheelchair accessible taxis, if either of those are things you want to happen.
