give the police the right without exception to shoot on sight any person / persons who show a firearm whether being aimed or not in a public place especially in todays age with all the hard drugs awash on Britain's streets , if my dad was a firearm cop I would want him to have that right , if this law had been in existence in 1952 the cop killer Christopher Craig would have been shot on sight instead of poor Derek Bentley having to pay the ultimate price for the killing by Craig of policeman Miles
