Inquiry into energy companies customer service and Ombudsman’s remit.

Petition Details

Establish an enquiry into energy companies service and the redress that is available to the ordinary customer. At present the power is totally with the energy companies who operate a war of attrition against their customers. The ombudsman’s remit should be changed so they have more powers.

Additional Information

The ordinary customer is receiving appalling service at the hands of energy companies who can bill what they like , when they want and refuse to address that they may be at fault . The ombudsman is not fully fit for the purpose and needs more powers of investigation and more power to award higher compensation levels.
