Petition Action

Minimum pricing on alcohol

Additional Information

I was shocked to read the article in the British Medical Journal which demonstrates how a Government, which we elect, is more influenced by alcohol companies and stakeholders than Health Professionals.
Why do we allow this?...do you know a person with an alcohol problem?... or even worse, would your child develop one?

extract from BMJ article

"In a BMJ investigation, Jonathan Gornall discovers that the government consultation into introducing a minimum unit price for alcohol in England and Wales was a sham and that politicians ignored the strong health evidence in favour of protecting the interests of industry"
