Retain requirement to wear face masks in public places after 19 July 2021.
Keep it compulsory for people to wear face masks in public places like shops, public transport, theatres etc. and retain the requirement for social distancing, until confirmed daily COVID infections are maintained below previously achieved levels of 1000 for at least one month.
The UK has learned how to live with COVID by social distancing and wearing face masks which were proven to prevent many deaths from Spanish Flu in Manchester 1919.
The public have endured many months of hardship to try to save lives and the NHS. By retaining the need for masks and social distancing, deaths and potential COVID mutations would be very much reduced, and many additional deaths avoided with the NHS given a chance to reduce waiting lists for urgent operations and cancer treatment.
