Introduce a flexible state pension from the age of 60

Petition Details

Introduce a flexible "Top Up" state pension from the age of 60 for people with workplace pensions that wish to retire early.

Additional Information

Some people are eligible for a private workplace pension well before state retirement age and would like to retire early but cannot afford to without a state pension as a top up.

An optional flexible state pension reduced pro-rata for every year earlier it's taken could enable this.

A scheme like this could free up jobs for younger people and allow older workers more freedom to plan their retirement..
