Knight Every Member of the Euro 2020 England Squad and Staff
The Euro 2020 England team have inspired and raised the spirits of the country with their outstanding performance and conduct during the Euro 2020 Tournament.
In the course of the Tournament the players have also mounted the most powerful silent protest against racism in recent decades.
The UK Honours system recognises people who
—made achievements in public life
—committed themselves to serving and helping Britain
They’ll usually have made life better for other people or be outstanding at what they do.
Immediately after the Euro 2020 final, a number of players from the Team were racial abused on social media, proving the point the Team have been making about the urgency of addressing and tackling racism in the UK.
Knighting the Team is the least the Government can do.
