Remove single-use plastic bags from shops and supermarkets.
To put a bill in place that will make MNC's (inc. shops and supermarkets) completely remove plastic bags from being sold when purchasing something and making companies replace these single-use bags with brown paper bags to reduce plastic waste/it's environmental impact.
Studies have found that we not only consume crazy amounts of micro plastics per year (in which they are now found in placentas), but they are now in every location on Earth.
To truly make a change and dent the plastic pandemic, the UK must take more action, especially since now most foreign countries who take our plastic for recycling are no longer doing so. If the UK eradicates plastic bags from being sold and replaces it with paper bags, it will be a small but effective step forward.
