The annual late-August bank holiday to be known as Nelson Mandela Day
We reject the Private Members' Bill proposed by Peter Bone to name the last Bank Holiday in August "Margaret Thatcher Day" and instead urge the government to name it "Nelson Mandela Day" in order to recognise the incredible work he did in unifying a nation, fighting racism and ending apartheid.
