Petition Action

Allow Judges to suspend Passports if guilty of a racist & religious hate crime.

Petition Details

Change the law to allow Judges to suspend United Kingdom Passports for people convicted of racist and religious hate crimes.

Additional Information

Holding a UK passport should be a privilege not a right. Racist & religious hate crimes are wrong. Courts should be empowered to suspend the right of people convicted of racist & hate crimes from carrying a passport stating "Her Britannic Majesty's Secretary of State requires in the name of Her Majesty to allow the bearer pass freely without let or hindrance, and to afford the bearer such assistance and protection as may be necessary". This should not be used by convicted racists.
