Petition Action

Create a Race Equality Action Plan for England

Petition Details

We are calling on the Government to create an ambitious race equality action plan that aims to make England anti-racist by 2030. This country needs to take a more proactive stance on racism. We have to put in place a roadmap to improve this country by tackling racism at its core.

Additional Information

The UK Government must follow in the footsteps of the Welsh & Scottish Governments in creating a race equality action plan.

This plan would set out meaningful changes that will positively impact the lives of BAME people. Some examples of actions should include; further diversification of public bodies; changing the school curriculum to teach children the history of the struggle for racial equality; working towards balancing the representation of BAME individuals in the criminal justice system.
