Rhymney Countryside (Protecting it from Opencast)
Rhymney countryside is at threat from a proposed opencast by the firm Miller Argent. If the mine goes ahead Local countryside will be ruined, farmland including common grazing land will be affected and the nature and wildlife will be wiped out causing them to be on the brink of extinction from the area.
