Students jointly request universities to provide remote online courses options

Petition Details

Urge British universities to immediately open the option of remote online courses in their country for international students to ensure the safety of international students, stay away from COVID-19 as much as possible, and give students the right to choose freely.

Additional Information

Universities included University of Edinburgh, Leeds,Newcastle, Bristol, Sheffield, Surrey, Warwick, Southampton and University College London, King's College London, London Business School students jointly expressed their concerns about their health and safety. We do not want to take the risk of being infected with the virus to teach face-to-face. We reject the university’s mandatory requirement that students return to school to face-to-face classes, and reject the school’s inhumane behavior.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Deciding how to deliver teaching, in line with existing Covid-19 restrictions, is a matter for individual educational institutions, not the Government of House of Commons.

We could accept a petition calling on the Government to close university campuses until Covid-19 has been eliminated, if that's something you want to happen.
