Ban testing on dogs, cats and domestic animal in the UK
Amend the Animals ( Scientific Procedures ) Act 1986 to exclude all domestic animals.
Animal testing is cruel and unnecessary. Work by charities such as FRAME & PETA have proven that testing can be scientifically complete to an accurate level without testing on animals.
As a nation of animal lovers, breeding facilities in Cambridge and Yorkshire go against every moral part of our nation. Puppy farms and cruelty to animals is an offence, but breeding puppies to have tubes in their throat and chemicals pumped into the stomach is legal for research?
These animals are intelligent, sensitive, social and loyal and are suffering horrific testing and surgeries that are of little value to humans. The results and unreliable and the testing on animals outdated.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.
You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.
You may wish to sign these petitions calling for similar actions:
Ban Animal Testing - Fund, accept & promote alternatives to animal testing: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/581641
Plan to phase out animal experiments: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/590216
If you want testing only to be banned for specific animals, you could start a new petition requesting this, but it would need to be clear what animals you want to be covered, as there is no common definition of domestic animals.
