Condemn the banning of headscarves at work in the EU
To take notice of this and stop this from happening, people of all faiths, religions and any other women have the right to wear a headscarf without being discriminated against whilst trying to make a living. Women should be respected and have the right to work while having the right to wear a scarf.
Freedom of choice. This will forse women to stop working, creating poverty in a specific group of the population, especially single mothers. Some may have no choice but to take off their headscarf, for them to be treated the same or apply for other jobs. This causes racism and hatride towards muslim women. Allows recruitment discrimination, as you have to look a certain way without representing your faith to get the job, is this justice/fair? Direct discrimination needs to be addressed.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The European Court of Justice has ruled that private employers can ban workers from wearing religious symbols, including headscarves in their workplaces, but this does not mean that clothing such as headscarves have been banned in workplaces in the EU.
In any case, decisions about workplace policies in the EU are a matter for individual employers, not the Government or the House of Commons.
