Stop the health and care bill 2021
Reinstate the clause banning any agreement that “undermines or restricts” the UK's ability to provide “a comprehensive publicly funded health service free at the point of delivery”. The NHS is not for sale and needs to be protected not stripped down and sold off to the highest bidder.
The NHS Act, brought before parliament in 1946, was created as part of a social welfare policy under Clement Atlee's Labour government which aimed to provide universal and free benefits to all those in need. The Health & Care Bill 2021 is the slow dismantling of the NHS, the American health care system fails the poorest in its community if we adopt it the most needy will be plunged back into Dickensian conditions.
