Don't make vaccination mandatory

Petition Details

To not take away are civil liberties and make us require proof of vaccination to enter venues.

Additional Information

I believe this is an infringement on our freedom! If we are not allowed to do things without providing proof we have been vaccinated our choice is being taken away from us. Some of the people who have been vaccinated will also agree that it is barbaric to ask people to prove they've had they're jabs. The main purpose of having the vaccine is to reduce severity of symptoms to reduce hospital cases. Being vaccinated in no way means you will no longer transmit the virus!

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.

You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.

It is already against the law for people to be required to undergo medical treatment, including vaccinations. The Coronavirus Act 2020 has not changed this.

We have published the following petitions, which you might like to sign:

Outlaw discrimination against those who do not get a Covid-19 vaccination: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/575801

Do not require Covid vaccination passports for crowded events: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/592671
