No quarantine for fully vaccinated, returning to the UK from France
Government/Parliament should lift the additional restrictions placed on fully vaccinated people returning to the UK from France, a 10 day quarantine with Day 2 & 8 PCR tests.
Government decided to keep the quarantine rules in place for France post 19 July. This is based on an an analysis the Beta variant is prevalent in France, which is incorrect. The data government used for this decision includes Covid cases from the overseas French territory of the Reunion island. Continental France barely has a higher incidence of beta variant cases than the UK and France is currently registering a tenth of daily Covid cases compared to the UK.
