Legislate that officials/ministers must use .gov email for OFFICIAL business.
I’m the interests of transparency, will the house consider legislation that requires officials and ministers to utilise .gov email services for OFFICIAL business. Ensuring that Ministerial conduct in respect of their office is freely available for scrutiny, in proceedings such as a Public Enquiry.
Recent events indicate that Ministers appear to be utilising personal email accounts to conduct OFFICIAL business. This undermines the need for transparency and consequently adversely impacts on the public’s perception that our democracy is free, fair and that it operates in accordance with the law.
