MP’s pay and pensions should be linked to public sector pay and state pensions
MP’s are public sector workers, they should receive the same pay rise each years as the lowest public sector increase, including pay freezes if used.
MP’s pensions are paid out of U.K. tax revenues, they should only be able to start claiming it at the age people start to claim state pension
It is ridiculous for MP’s to receive higher percentage pay increases than the lowest paid public sector workers.
It is also ridiculous that MP’s can vote for working people to receive their state pension ( that they have paid into for years) at a higher age than MP’s can claim their own overly generous pension.
If we are “ all in it together “ let include MP’s be in on it with us.
I m sure they would want to lead by example.
