Have different risk assessments for harassment and stalking.
Making the threshold lower to obtain convictions on stalkers earlier
Lower conviction thresholds will ensure a stalker is monitored more closely so as not to cause harm to their victim or their families.
Having a clear definition between harassment and stalking ensures stalking cases are not taken to the CPS and treated as harassment just because it’s easier to prove.

Decisions about investigating alleged offences and prosecuting these are a matter for the police and Crown Prosecution Service, and decisions about convicting and sentencing alleged offenders is a matter for the courts, not the Government or House of Commons.
