Petition Action

Add Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to the curriculum & fund staff training.

Petition Details

As a priority; provide access to funding, resources and support for all schools to provide training to teachers and support staff in CBT. CBT should also be added to the curriculum so it is taught in all schools.

Additional Information

The silent pandemic of poor mental health is compounded by insufficient mental health support for our children. In light of recent events this cannot and should not be ignored. As a society we need to take responsibility for our mental health and wellbeing and therefore training our education professionals in these areas is essential in order for teachers to support our young people and provide and teach about preventative self care measures that all students can access at an age appropriate level.
