Petition Action

Demolish or renovate derelict Flats 1 to 15 Jasmine Court, Coventry

Petition Details

Demolish or renovate derelict Flats
1 to 15 Jasmine Court, in Jasmine Grove, Stoke Aldermoor, Coventry CV3 owned by the Crown.
The Community want these derelict flats demolished or renovated, they are owned by the Crown, and have been derelict for over 6yrs.

Additional Information

As these flats are owned by the Crown, the Council 4yrs ago said they can only fence off the area around the flats, these flats have now been derelict for over 6yrs, with nothing more done, are a major health hazard and eyesore to our Community. Not forgetting there is also a housing shortage crisis in Coventry.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions must call for a specific action that the UK Government or House of Commons is responsible for.

Decisions about maintenance or demolition of property is a matter for the owner or relevant local authority, not the Government or House of Commons.

As a result it is not possible for the Government or House of Commons to take the action you have requested.
