Petition Details

Emergency action is needed to ensure the survival of our species and planet. Implement a ban on plastic packaging for fruit/veg, & single use plastic bags. Donate in date food waste to food banks/homeless shelters. Protect green land from development. Ban selling fossil fuels and petrol vehicles.

Additional Information

Around 70% of litter in the ocean is made of plastic. Plastic pollution is harmful to wildlife and humans.

Food waste is responsible for more than 25 million tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions in the UK per year. Greenhouse gas emissions from road transport has increased by 6% from 1990-2017. In 2017, 21% of all greenhouse gas emissions came from road transport

Record high temperatures and severe flooding have been seen in increasing amounts across the UK and the planet.
