I call on the UK Government to set limits on pet insurance premiums
Pet Insurance as a financial product is governed by the FOS, but there is no guidance and governance around renewals. There is over 50 million domestic pets in the UK, a 1.1 Billion pound per year business. People are struggling to pay for pet care due to the growing annual costs.
Pets are dying as the costs increase year on year and owners/families struggle to meet ever growing costs. The Government needs to take action in this industry and ensure that this sector is treating everyone fairly and not putting profit before affordability of care.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions must call for a specific action that the UK Government or House of Commons is responsible for.
Decisions about the cost of insurance products are a matter for indiviudal insurance providers, not the Government or House of Commons. As a result it is not possible for the Government or House of Commons to take the action you have requested.
