Sack racist and violent police and make them accountable for assaults

Make a law that holds police officers accompanying a police officer who assaults people and stands by and does nothing to protect the public or stop another police officer assaulting members of public to included the prosecution

Additional Information

Too many police officers let there partners assault people and when the assaulting officer is prosecuted there partners get away with it because they had no part, but stood by and done nothing, it’s just as guilty

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions must call for a specific action that the UK Government or House of Commons is responsible for.

Decisions about disciplinary processes for individual police officers are a matter for individual police forces, not the Government or House of Commons. As a result it is not possible for the Government or House of Commons to take the action you have requested.

We could accept a petition calling on the Government to make it a specific criminal offence for police officers not to intervene if they witness another police officer acting inappropriately, if that's something you would like to happen.

If you start a new petition you'd need to give your full name.
