Make FCDO Travel Advice and the DfT Watchlist a joined up and coherent system
It seems nonsensical that the government are alleviating COVID border controls for Amber List countries but FCDO advice (i.e advising against "all but essential travel") can invalidate Travel Insurance Policies for travel to those countries.
The FCDO and Department for Transport policies and advice should be aligned. Why is it that HM Gov feel able to alleviate self-isolation restrictions when returning from an Amber List Country but - on the other hand - advising against travelling to the majority of the countries on the Amber List? This does not not seem to be "joined-up" Governance on what is the same issue!

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you are concerned about disparities between the allocation of countries to red, amber and green lists, and FCDO advice on travel, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. It's not clear if you want countries that the FCDO is advising against travel to be put on the red list, or advice against all but essential travel to be lifted for countries on the amber list.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
