Change the current Law so that the UK 1921 Census can be made available earlier.
Change the current legislation to reduce the length of time before Census information can be made available - especially to relatives.
Until a change in the Law, Census details were hidden for 100 years. Now the time is shorter, but still longer than necessary. The possible reasons for secrecy are much less damaging today.
Illegitimacy is not as frowned upon in 2021 as it was in 1921, and better family knowledge can be helpful in medical conditions.
I learnt last year that my “maternal Grandfather” cannot have been my Mother’s Father. At 76 and the only known living descendant I should like to explore my possible family.
