Introduce minimum five year sentences for killing a pet
Ensure that anyone who kills a pet, through physical violence or other means, receives a minimum sentence of 5 years.
Recent cases including the beating to death of a pet dog have seen inadequate sentences handed out for horrific abuse leading to the death of a pet. The minimum sentence for killing a pet should be five years in jail.
