Hold a referendum on replacing FPTP with proportional representation
The Government should ask the public if they want an electoral system that is more representative by holding a referendum on whether to keep First Past The Post (FPTP) or change it to Proportional Representation, for all elections the UK Government sets the rules for.
A fine example that FPTP is undemocratic was again expressed at the last GE of 2019, where the SNP vote was 1,242,380 (45% of the vote) and gained 48 seats (81% of all seats). Outcomes like this are extremely unjust.
